Breeze’s digital platform integrates directly into freight forwarders’ systems, streamlining workflows and enabling efficient cargo insurance offerings. Key features of the platform include:
- Automated and Data-Driven Underwriting: Utilizing data and underwriting criteria provided by Helvetia, the platform instantly underwrites and generates quotes for each shipment, typically within seconds.
- Efficient Claims Handling: Claims are processed directly on the platform, with simpler cases settled automatically and complex ones escalated for additional review.
- Instant information: State-of-the-art dashboards allow easy, timely tracking of goods in shipment, as well as assessing risk profiles and gaining financial and risk-related insights.
Founded in 2021, Breeze recognized a significant gap in cargo insurance for the logistics sector, where around 70% of global cargo remains uninsured due to operational challenges in embedding insurance into logistics workflows. This exposes shippers to substantial risks and impacts logistics providers’ service offerings. To address this, Breeze developed a robust cargo insurance platform designed to seamlessly integrate with logistics players of all sizes – whether analogue or digital. By the end of 2024, Breeze’s platform scaled rapidly, supporting hundreds of customers and thousands of shipments monthly, facilitating insurance coverage for cargo valued in the hundreds of millions.
Leveraging Technology to Close the Protection Gap in Cargo Business.

- Streamlined Processes: The solution provides a fast, fully automated, seamless user experience from underwriting to claims settlement perspectives.
- Closing Awareness Gaps: Addressing protection gaps often unnoticed by customers shipping their goods and against growing number of risks to global trade.
