Cargolux names new country manager for Germany

Cargolux Airlines has appointed Christian Thiele as its new country manager for Germany.

Thiele succeeds Tony McNichol in the role and he will take over his new position in October and will be responsible for Cargolux’s sales and marketing efforts in Germany.

The carrier says in over 30 years, he has gained a comprehensive understanding of the business by building his career from the ground up through documentation, ramp supervision and customer service.

Thiele joins Cargolux from Emirates SkyCargo, where he held the position of cargo business development manager for Germany.

His career in the air cargo industry also includes previous stints at Korean Air and Fraport at Frankfurt Airport.

Cargolux, based in Luxembourg, has a fleet of 12 Boeing 747-8 Freighters and 12 Boeing 747-400 Freighters.
