Freight traffic fall of 1.1% in Q1 at Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi International Airport saw freight traffic pick-up in March – the last month of the first quarter (Q1), but volumes still fell in Q1 compared to Q1 last year.

The United Arab Emirates gateway handled 67,668 tonnes last month, up 0.5 per cent on the 67,364 tonnes in March 2016.

In Q1 this year, the airport handled 189,340 tonnes, which was a fall of 1.1 per cent on the 191,407 tonnes in Q1 2016.
