WiseTech Academy opens CargoWise certification training to all

WiseTech Academy, the online training arm of WiseTech Global has opened access to CargoWise certification courses to the public, free of charge, enabling job seekers to attain in-demand skills to help them find employment in the logistics industry.

“WiseTech is committed to attracting more people to the logistics industry and supporting digital transformation through ongoing skills development. Previously, CargoWise certification training was only available to employees of CargoWise customers. By opening the training to the general public, we’re helping job seekers attain this highly sought after certification to make them more marketable to logistics employers,” said Dr Tudor Maxwell, who leads WiseTech Academy at WiseTech Global.

“CargoWise logistics software is used by many of the world’s largest global service providers across 181 countries, so being CargoWise Certified means potential employees would be ready to hit the ground running in a new job in many organizations. This is true whether they are just starting their career or looking for a mid-career transition into the logistics sector. International trade is one of the pillars of our modern world, and the logistics sector supports that pillar by moving goods from one place to another. This is what makes a career in supply chain logistics such a good choice.”

The fully online and self-paced format of the CargoWise certification allows students to start and finish at any time throughout the year. The learning material includes interactive tools, videos, quick quizzes and a community forum, all designed to help students synthesize and apply what they have learned.

Certifications are attained in sequence, starting with the  CargoWise Certified Operator (CCO), progressing to the CargoWise Certified Specialist (CCS), and reaching the highest level of accreditation as a CargoWise Certified Professional (CCP).

WiseTech Academy is a registered training organization that draws on WiseTech’s in-depth industry knowledge gained as the developer of CargoWise, the leading cloud-based logistics execution software system. CargoWise is used by all of the top 25 global freight forwarders and 45 of the top 50 third party logistic providers, globally. More than 37,000 people have a current CargoWise certification.
