WIN launches new mobile app for independent forwarders

WIN launches new mobile app for independent forwarders

Worldwide Information Network (WIN) has launched a new mobile application platform, which it says will give independent forwarders a “mobile edge”.

The app features real-time track and trace, an interactive agent directory, instant messaging, route checking, and shipment status tools allowing users to track and update status on any shipment including proofs of delivery or pictures of damaged cargo.

A version of WIN Mobile branded for individual freight forwarders to distribute to their end-customers is also available.

WIN managing director, John DeBenedette (pictured) says: “Forwarders already using WIN to work electronically with partners and carriers now can now multiply the value of the information exchanged in WIN, and securely provide shipment visibility their own customers.

WIN

“WIN is all about giving independent freight forwarders an edge. Now we have extended this to the mobile frontier.”

G.J. Freight Support Services South Africa MIS manager, Pierluigi Muzzulini says: “The WIN Mobile app has been never let me down and is always a reliable source when I am looking for information on agents or tracking my shipments.

“Having the app on my phone makes it convenient and easily accessible from anywhere at any time.”

ATM Transports SA Switzerland air export manager, Craig Chapman says it is refreshing to have the possibility to check flight schedules and tracking facilities “under one roof”.
