Located at the Palais des Congres de Marrakech exhibition and conference centre, in the heart of Morocco’s most glamourous and vibrant city, the WCA Regional Conference attracted 300 delegates for a packed three-day schedule of pre-arranged One-on-One business meetings and social networking events.

The conference commenced with an information session on the development of logistics business opportunities in the region, including a detailed and very well-received presentation by Yassine Elahyani, Head of Emerging Industries at the Moroccan Investment and Export Development Agency.

Alongside over 3,800 individual pre-arranged meetings conducted during the conference, member delegates enjoyed a professional city tour, a sumptuous gala dinner and show and a range of evening cocktail events, all designed to promote closer cooperation and new partnerships between forwarders.

WCAworld Chief Executive Officer, Dan March, stated that the event was, “a great success and one that opened-up the eyes of many forwarders to the growing importance of the region and the many opportunities for cross-border logistics growth. We are delighted that the feedback from members attending has been very positive and we look forward to returning to North Africa for additional events in the future”.
