The Waco System launches new associate vendor membership

 

Chapman Freeborn and Cargoguide are the inaugural associate vendors of The WACO System – a new membership level created by the global freight management network.

The new membership level is open to suppliers providing critical services to The WACO System’s independent forwarder members.

The WACO System’s executive director, Richard Charles says: “The new category enhances our value proposition for members by giving them access to bespoke agreements and preferential treatment.

“Associate vendors have the opportunity of working closely with our members as preferred suppliers and developing strategic alliances which will boost their business. We will be looking to grow this membership category to include other leading suppliers who can support our members in delivering a first class service to their customers.”

Air charter firm Chapman Freeborn and freight rate management solutions provider Cargoguide will now attend WACO’s General Meetings as part of their membership.

The WACO System holds two meetings a year globally at which members take part in hundreds of bilateral meetings to develop new business opportunities and strengthen commercial relationships.

Chapman Freeborn global key account director, Gavin-Jon Deeks says: “As the global aircraft charter specialist, Chapman Freeborn’s focus has always been on building long-standing relationships with clients

“The WACO System network provides the perfect opportunity to work in partnership with independent freight forwarders to generate new business opportunities together on a true global basis.”

Cargoguide chief executive officer, Jorre Cobelens explains: “Our service is well proven with more than 1,500 companies around the globe, including several WACO members.

“By becoming an associate vendor of The WACO System, Cargoguide will optimise data sharing between WACO members.”

The WACO System members also benefit from strategic alliances with a number of global airlines and is represented in 107 countries.

The network recently welcomed a new member in Central-East Europe, Gebrüder Weiss, as part of an ongoing expansion programme to grow its global footprint.
