WACO appoints the Mayan Group

The WACO System has appointed The Mayan Group Ltd. (Mayan) to be its representative for Israel.

Formed in 1977, Mayan offers a broad range of services including international shipping, customs clearance, marine insurance, land transportation, and logistics services.

“We welcome The Mayan Group as representative of the WACO network in Israel and are confident that it will greatly contribute to all the members,” said Richard Charles, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), WACO.

Mayan joined WACO in time to attend its recent Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Sorrento, Italy, at which the forwarder network also marked its 50th anniversary.

During the conference, Mayan held over 40 bilateral meetings with the network’s agents from around the world and received its official letter certificate of appointment at the gala dinner held to mark the anniversary.

“WACO’s expression of trust in the Mayan Group is a very significant milestone in the company’s development,” said Michael Even, Vice President of Commerce, The Mayan Group.

“Mayan Group, which is currently one of the leading companies in the international freight forwarders and customs brokerage industry in Israel, strives for excellence and innovation, opens new markets, and offers exclusive services, both from the countries included in the Abraham Accord agreements, and from many other destinations.

“We pride ourselves on a dedicated, professional, and caring staff, available around the clock for any response, and type of service required to be handled at any time.”

The second annual WACO networking event will be its Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) to be held in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, 15 – 18 October, 2023.
