Virgin Atlantic Cargo has approved the use of Envirotainer’s game-changing Releye RLP and RAP containers, as the airline continues to grow its pharmaceutical and life science offering.
The Releye solutions offer the best in live tracking updates and contains technology to ensure consistent and evenly dispersed cooling, as well as utilising integrated live monitoring of temperature, humidity and product condition. All managed and maintained with the new service Control Tower.
These added solutions offer the most cargo space per fuel unit and have the smallest CO2 footprint of all options on the market, thanks to its low weight, large cargo space and outstanding reliability.
The ground-breaking containers can also maintain temperature for more than one week (170hrs), protecting cargo longer than other solutions.
As the carrier continues to support vital supply chains across the globe, the unit makes for a great addition to Virgin Atlantic Cargo’s portfolio of ULDs as it can guarantee even greater security for highly valuable and sensitive pharmaceutical and life science shipments.
David Hall, global account manager, pharma sales at Virgin Atlantic Cargo commented: “As our long-standing relationship with Envirotainer continues, we are delighted to welcome on board the new Releye containers. We are committed to providing the best solutions in the market and these latest additions will further enhance our Active Container offering, giving customers even more choice when looking for reliable options to meet the evolving demands of the supply chain.”
Jörg Krings, global key account manager airlines at Envirotainer, added: “It’s with great pleasure to see that Virgin Atlantic Cargo has completed their approval of both the Releye RLP and the Releye RAP.
