V-Care Logistics in the swim for young people

Indian freight forwarder V-Care Logistics Services, part of the UK-based Cargo Connections network, have sponsored a youth swimming competition event held at the Nerul Gymkhana Club in Navi Mumbai.

The event was for under-16s group to encourage participation in swimming. The sport of swimming is particularly special to the company as Aditya, son of V-Care director, Sivakumar, is an Indian national swimmer.

Twenty-five year old Aditya Santosh Raut is an international open water swimmer, known for breaking many swimming records at a young age. At age 9 in 2002, he completed a 21-hour, 70-kilometre double crossing of the channel between Mumbai and Dharamtar. In 2009, at 16, he became the first person to swim nine channels in nine countries. He has been the youngest person to swim theCook Strait, Strait f Gibraltar and the English Channel.
