Ukrainian airspace closed to civilian flights

Kuehne+Nagel provides quick aid to Ukraine

From today, the Ukrainian airspace is closed to civilian flights following the Russian invasion. The area is now defined as an Active Conflict Zone and EASA has warned there are additional safety risks in flying in the bordering 100NM airspace over Russia and Belarus.

Operators are warned that the presence and possible use of a wide range of ground and airborne warfare systems poses a high risk for civil flights operating at all altitudes and flight levels.  In particular, there is a risk of both intentional targeting and misidentification of civil aircraft.

Moldova, southwest of Ukraine, also closed its airspace, while Belarus to the north said civilian flights could no longer fly over part of its territory.
