UK freight association elects new national chair and vice-chair

Keith Baguley has succeeded Charles Hogg as the elected national chair of BIFA – the British International Freight Association – for a two-year period.

Baguley, senior manager at BIFA member company Grimaldi Group has been the trade association’s vice chair for the last two years, as well as chair of BIFA’s Merseyside region since 2018.

Alongside Keith as vice-chair will be Ian Mallon,  managing director at Neon Freight, who has over two decades of experience in the logistics and freight forwarding industry.

Charles Hogg, chief commercial officer at Unsworth, becomes immediate past chair for a two-year term.

BIFA director general Steve Parker comments: “In welcoming Keith and Ian into their new positions, I wish to express my appreciation for the contribution made by Charles Hogg over many years.

“Keith and Ian’s wide-ranging experience and senior roles in successful freight and logistics businesses will ensure that BIFA and its members will benefit greatly from their election to lead our board.”
