Transportation security administration (TSA) administrator John Pistole will address delegates at The International Air Cargo Association’s Air Cargo Forum (ACF) in Seoul on 8 October.
He will inform delegates about the latest airfreight security regulation developments, and will address the issue of risk-based security measures.
TIACA secretary general, Doug Brittin, says: “We support a pragmatic, risk, and outcome-based security regimen, applied to airports, air carriers, and freight forwarders…we are looking forward to hearing John’s views and updates on this.”
Pistole will be joined by a team of experts taking part in three days of workshops and panel debates. Speakers include, World Customs Organization secretary general, Kunio Mikuriya, and International Civil Aviation Organization secretary general, Raymond Benjamin, Korean Minister of Land Infrastructure and Transport, Suh Seoung-Hwan, the International Air Transport Association’s global head of air cargo, Glyn Hughes.
