Top Christmas postcards from air cargo: airlines, handlers and GSAs share seasonal greetings
  • Here are some of the standout Christmas postcards you can embed in one seasonal round-up.

As the aviation industry wrapped up another turbulent but transformative year, airlines around the world took to social media to share festive greetings – each with their own creative twist. From tongue-in-cheek aircraft makeovers to heartfelt tributes to crews and cargo teams working through the holidays, 2025’s Christmas messages showed that even in logistics, there’s room for a little sparkle.

Here’s our pick of some of the most memorable Christmas greetings from the industry this year.

Emirates: The Sleigh380 takes flight

Dubai-based Emirates delivered one of the most eye-catching posts of the season, unveiling its “Sleigh380” – a playful nod to its flagship A380. The image showed Santa’s overflowing sleigh being loaded onto a dnata high-loader, ready for a long-haul mission. “Santa’s going long-haul this year!” the airline wrote.

dnata

dnata went big on the visuals: a freighter on the ramp wearing a Santa hat, with snow falling and piles of presents being loaded and stacked around ground equipment. Their caption opens with “Holiday magic is in the air!” and adds: “Our team is helping gifts and travellers arrive safely this festive season. Warm wishes from all of us at dnata!”

Swissport

Swissport Air Cargo used a simple holiday card design that looks like a snow globe. Inside it is a Swissport cargo facility with a Christmas tree in the foreground, and the artwork headline reads “Happy Holidays!”

“As 2025 draws to a close, we’d like to thank our airline, forwarder and logistics partners around the world for your trust throughout the year, and our global cargo teams for delivering safe, high-performing operations. Your expertise and care keep goods moving when it matters most.”

Menzies Aviation

Menzies kept it clean and corporate, with a dark-blue card that reads “Season’s greetings and best wishes for 2026!” and a Christmas tree drawn as a white line, topped by a small aircraft icon. Their caption is direct: “Season’s greetings to our colleagues, customers, and partners. We wish you a happy holiday season and look forward to continued success together in 2026.”

United Cargo

United Cargo leaned into a more people-first, behind-the-scenes feel. The post headline line says: “Around the world, we’re proud to help deliver more than shipments – we help deliver hope.”

“Through a Make-A-Wish Fantasy Flight, supported by our dedicated volunteers and comforting LCC K-9 comfort dogs from Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, we were honored to play a small part in creating moments of joy, calm, and possibility for families.”

Lufthansa Cargo

Lufthansa Cargo kept it clean and cargo-focused. Their artwork says “Season’s Greetings” and shows three hanging baubles: one with a freighter flying through a winter scene, one with a small team in high-vis vests, and one with a wrapped shipment box. The post is a straightforward seasonal greeting, branded clearly as Lufthansa Cargo.

“This holiday season, we celebrate you – our customers, partners, teams, follower, and fans – who enable global business every day. Just like the ornaments in our picture, every flight, every team, and every shipment tells a story of collaboration and trust.”

Group Concorde

Group Concorde went for a classic postcard style. The artwork reads “Merry Christmas” and includes a festive aircraft illustration with Santa and reindeer, plus a tree and presents. In the caption, they opened with “Season’s Greetings from Group Concorde!” and thanked partners as part of their Christmas message.

TAM Group

TAM Group’s design is a clever aviation twist: a Christmas tree shape made out of aircraft silhouettes, with a bow in the middle and “Merry Christmas” written across the card. Their caption plays on logistics timing: “Santa’s sleigh is on a busy flight schedule … But we know the importance of on time arrivals.”

Etihad Cargo

Etihad Cargo’s post is warm and personal. The message begins “Season’s Greetings from Etihad Cargo” and thanks customers directly: “Wishing all our partners and friends a joyful holiday season. Thank you for placing your trust in us this past year. Here’s to continued collaboration and new opportunities in 2026.”

The artwork shows a living-room Christmas scene with stacked presents, a waybill-style label, and the line “Season’s Greetings & Happy New Year!”

IATA

IATA kept it simple and graphic-led. The post starts with “Season’s Greetings from all of us at IATA!” and addresses “our friends in the #aviation community and beyond”.
The artwork is a clean illustration: a blue aircraft flying under clouds and snowflakes, with “Happy Holidays!” in bold red text, plus a skyline-style row of buildings at the bottom and the IATA logo.

Cargolux Airlines

Cargolux went for a winter “snow globe” theme. The post text (as visible) says: “The Cargolux team worldwide wishes you a peaceful and joyous festive season. May the New Year bring you health, happiness and success.”
The artwork reads “Schéi Feierdeeg” and “Season’s Greetings”, with a Cargolux freighter inside a globe-like scene, wrapped with a ribbon carrying the Cargolux branding, set against a snowy blue background.
