The Global Freight Network has announced that its 2026 Annual Assembly will take place from 25–27 October 2026 at the JW Marriott Hotel Muscat in Oman, a destination chosen for its blend of modern infrastructure, warm hospitality, and striking natural beauty.
The annual gathering is a cornerstone of the organisation’s global activity, bringing together members from across the freight forwarding industry for a series of structured 1-2-1 business meetings, networking events, and cultural experiences.
Key Highlights of the 2026 Programme:
-
Sunday, 25 October: The event opens with an optional city exploration tour of Muscat, including visits to the Grand Mosque, Al Alam Palace, and the vibrant Mutrah Souq. An evening welcome reception and team-building challenge set the tone for a productive and collaborative event.
-
Monday & Tuesday, 26–27 October: Delegates will take part in more than 25 pre-scheduled face-to-face meetings, alongside networking lunches and evening social events, including an Omani-themed cultural celebration on Monday evening.
The choice of Muscat reflects the organisation’s ongoing effort to rotate host cities and highlight emerging logistics hubs across the globe. The JW Marriott Muscat will serve as both the venue and accommodation, offering convenience and luxury for delegates.
Organisers emphasise that face-to-face interaction remains essential to developing trusted partnerships in a competitive freight market.

“Our Annual Assembly isn’t just about business cards — it’s about building long-term relationships and unlocking new global trade routes,” said a spokesperson for the network. “For many of our members, this is where major deals begin.”
The event is expected to draw strong participation from freight forwarders, consolidators, and logistics professionals representing major global markets. Registration is now open for members, with additional details available through the network’s official channels.
