Swissport wins handling contract with Emirates in France

Swissport Cargo Services France has won a contract to handle cargo at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport, Lyon Airport and Nice Côte d’Azur Airport for Emirates SkyCargo.

The agreement will be effective from 1 April 2017. It covers the complete scope of cargo handling services including full freighter and warehouse handling.

Swissport International senior vice president (SVP), Simon Messner says: “We are proud to be a strategic partner of Emirates SkyCargo. Swissport is in the right position to meet the daily needs of Emirates SkyCargo in France and will be a reliable local partner for this outstanding cargo carrier.

Emirates SkyCargo SVP cargo operations worldwide, Henrik Ambak says: “We are confident that Swissport’s expertise combined with our shared values and our focus on quality, safety and excellence in customer service will support us in delivering industry leading air cargo solutions to our cargo customers in France and around the world.”

Emirates SkyCargo offers bellyhold cargo capacity to French customers on its passenger flights to Paris, Lyon and Nice and also operates scheduled weekly freighter flights to Paris and Lyon facilitating trade between France and the rest of the world via its vast network.

Swissport International handles 4.3 million tonnes of cargo a year for 835 client-companies in the aviation sector. Emirates SkyCargo operates a fleet of 255 aircraft, including 15 freighters – 13 Boeing 777Fs and two B747-400ERFs.
