Swissport to inaugurate Brussels Pharma Center

Swissport to inaugurate Brussels Pharma Center

On Wednesday 23 October 2019, Swissport will inaugurate its new Swissport Pharma Center at Brussels Airport, in the presence of Alexander De Croo, Belgium’s deputy prime minister and minister of finance.

The Brussels branch is one of Swissport’s main air cargo hubs. With this multi-million-dollar investment, Swissport wants to take the transport of medicines and freight in general to a new level at Brussels Airport.

The new specialised pharmaceutical logistics centre (3,620 sq m) is part of a total renovation of the existing warehouse (25,000 sq m) and administrative building by 2021. This state-of-the-art logistics centre underlines the company’s commitment to the Belgian market and strengthens Belgium’s position as a true ‘pharma valley’.

Swissport is very pleased to welcome Alexander De Croo, deputy prime minister of the Belgian federal government, Luzius Wirth, executive vice-president Europe, Middle East & Africa at Swissport and Piet Demunter, chief business development officer of Brussels Airport Company, as speakers at the press conference. After the Swissport Pharma Center is officially opened, there will be a short visiting tour.
