Swiss WorldCargo signs deal with forwarder network WCA.

Swiss WorldCargo, the freight division of Swiss International Air Lines, has entered into a new partnership agreement with freight forwarder network, WCA.

Under a Memorandum of Understanding, the two will undertake cross-cooperation projects with three of the network’s specialty groups – WCA Pharma, WCA Time Critical and WCA Dangerous Goods.

Swiss International Air Lines’ chief cargo officer, Oliver Evans, says: “We see our partnership with them as a complement to our existing offer, opening the door to new, flexible and pragmatic solutions for end users.”

WCA president David Yokeum says: “By working closely with Swiss, we can help bring even greater value to the ultimate users, the shippers and consignees.”

He adds that industry data has established the independent sector as significantly increasing its global market share within airfreight.
