Smart Aviation expands team during year of accelerated growth

Smart Aviation announced a significant expansion to its team following a period of accelerated growth. Max Cassar and Scott Harding joined Smart Aviation last week as Trainee Aircraft Charter Brokers, working across both the commercial and private jet departments within the business.

Mark Hawkins, Founder and Managing Director of Smart Aviation, said: “We are delighted to welcome both Max and Scott to the team at what is a very exciting time for Smart, following an outstanding summer of substantial ACMI business and private jet bookings, and our 20th anniversary just around the corner next year. Our goal is to nurture Max and Scott, helping them grow across both charter divisions and see where their natural strengths lie as brokers. They are both very passionate about aviation and we can clearly see that they both have the attributes and attitude to become successful brokers.”

Max Cassar said: “This is my first full time job in aviation and I am so grateful to Smart for giving me the opportunity to pursue my passion. I have been fascinated by aviation since I was a child and am looking forward to learning all about what being a broker entails from the experienced team here”.

Scott Harding added: “I am excited to have joined Smart and in particular, I am looking forward to getting stuck into the sports charter side of the business, where my passion really lies. Our first week was fantastic. The training schedule has been thorough and really enjoyable. We spent the day touring Biggin Hill’s FBO Jetex London and met with private jet operator Zenith Aviation to see their aircraft and hangar. I’m already working on my own enquiries, and I am looking forward to securing that first booking.”
