SIA Cargo selects Zodiac Herculight S containers

Singapore Airlines Cargo (SIA Cargo) has selected Zodiac Aerospace for the supply of more than 2,000 Zodiac Herculight S AKE cargo containers.

The containers, constructed with a combination of composite and aluminium panels, come in two highly customised configurations to target SIA Cargo’s needs in both passenger and cargo operations.

Zodiac says SIA Cargo evaluated the Herculight S containers comprehensively and one of the carrier’s key requirements was the sustainability of the lightweight unit load device to remain functional in operations for many years and explains the Herculight S AKE fits this requirement.

Zodiac Cabin Equipment vice president of sales, Bart van Berkel says: “This truly is a positive quality and testament to the design philosophy we uphold for all of our products. We strive towards the lightest tare weight possible for our products, leading the market trend towards lightest weight with highest durability.

“At the same time, we strictly will not compromise the performance potential of our products. We look forward to a successful collaboration with Singapore Airlines Cargo for many years to come.”
