SF Airlines touches down in Frankfurt-Hahn

SF Airlines has added intercontinental services with the first Boeing 747-400ERF flight touching down in Frankfurt-Hahn at on 15 September.

The service took off from Wuxi at 00.30h, and after a stop-off at Chongqing, the flight continued to Frankfurt-Hahn Airport in Germany.

The route is the longest one operated by SF Airlines, covering 9,540 kilometres and has a payload of 110 tonnes.

It can consolidate and ship cargo between East China, West China and Frankfurt-Hahn through air-air and air-land transit under support from local customs in Wuxi and Chongqing.

The flight features simplified flight approval procedures, an optimised transit regulation process and a more efficient customs clearance service.

It promotes cross-border trading and value realisation through cargo circulation and facilities implementing the Belt and Road Initiative.

The route will be able to transport more than 600 tonnes of shipments from China to Europe, and is expected to build a stable air logistics channel for manufacturing and business trading enterprises, and promote local foreign trade businesses.
