Roamworks picks up innovative security software award at 2017 Transport Arabia Excellence awards

Dubai-based Internet of Things (IOT) developer Roamworks has won the “Most Innovative Security Software of the Year” award at the 2017 Transport Arabia Excellence Awards for its suite of cargo security products.  These awards recognise the best-performing companies and individuals in four modes of cargo transportation, including air freight.

“We are very honoured to have won this award honouring our latest product offering, the Roamworks Cargo Security Suite.  We have had a dynamic year developing this product with our development partner Dubai Airport Authority and it is very rewarding to see that the hard work of our team has been recognized by this prestigious award,” says Amjad Khan, Roamworks’ chief technical officer.

The award recognises the best among the next-generation transport security software suites developed in 2017. The award criteria are “that the software should be based on the Internet of Things and provide the most effective and robust device-to-device communications with the most easy-to-use end-user interfaces in the market today. The company will have a global presence with proven reliability in field operations and the software will be flexible, scalable, robust and customisable to meet the widest range of applications.”

“Working with Roamworks has helped us implement security protocols, which was very much a key requirement of Dubai Police and Customs for a seamless cargo movement between two of the world’s busiest and leading airports,” says Youssef A Beydoun, head of cargo planning and compliance, Dubai Airports Cargo & Logistics.
