Rhenus Group has extended its European freight forwarding network with two new air and ocean offices in Hanover and Dortmund.
The offices provide a range of international transport services while also handling guidance for import and export regulations.
Customers will be able to make use of combined services in the air and sea freight sectors.
Rhenus Board member, Tobias Bartz says: “The German market is strategically important for us. Industry and commerce in the form of the automotive sector and the chemical industry, for example, are very strong here.
“Germany not only has a central geographical location in Europe, but is an attractive business proposition with its good infrastructure and international trading contacts.”
The new business sites will reach the urban regions of Hanover, Braunschweig, Gottingen, Wolfsburg and Rhine-Ruhr.
The urban region has a combined population of 3.8 million and is vital for the services and manufacturing industry.
The Rhine-Ruhr has a population of over 10 million and is the base for both large and medium-sized corporations.
The primary focus at Rhenus Air & Ocean in Germany is routes to America and Asia, and its key locations are the gateways at Hilden and Frankfurt, which will support the two new offices.
Rhenus Air & Ocean operates 13 business sites in Germany with new branches coming soon.
