Raya Airways expands Zhengzhou cargo route

Raya Airways was honoured to host representatives from China Henan Aviation Group and China Logistics Group Global Express Supply Chain Management Co., Ltd., underscoring the strategic importance of the Zhengzhou cargo route in support of Air Silk Road framework under the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).

The company is boosting its Kuala Lumpur–Zhengzhou (KUL–CGO) route to six flights a week in a bold move to strengthen trade ties between Malaysia and China. Launched in September 2024 with the initial three flights a week, the CGO route has quickly become a vital corridor for cross-border e-commerce. With the soaring demand, Raya Airways’ increased frequency promises greater access to each other’s growing markets.

“Our increased CGO flight frequency is more than just an operational move — it underpins the growing trade between China and Malaysia, with China being one of our major trading partners,” said Group Managing Director of Raya Airways, Mohamad Najib Ishak. “We’re here to enable trade, connect economies and support businesses with robust air cargo services.” At the heart of this growth is Raya Airways’ strengthened partnership with Balance Freight Sdn. Bhd., a collaboration that continues to drive innovation and efficiency in regional logistics. The two companies are aligning closely to offer seamless, integrated freight solutions that is critical to the quest.

“We deeply value our partnership with Balance Freight,” Najib added.

“Their expertise and commitment have been crucial in ensuring smooth and scalable operations on this important route.” As Raya Airways ramps up its footprint in Asia’s air cargo sector, the airline remains committed to delivering service excellence in customer-centric logistics solutions designed to keep businesses moving above and beyond.
