Poste Air Cargo appointed IATA CEIV certified

Poste Air Cargo has increased its portfolio of certifications, adding an additional quality standard. On October the 12th, it was appointed IATA CEIV certified, proving full compliance with the aviation worldwide quality standard to transport pharmaceutical products.

The IATA CEIV certification assures that the airfreight transportation of the temperature controlled pharma products are handled in full compliance with the requirements requested by the pharma shippers and by the international standards (TCR and EU-GDP), so granting product integrity, temperature tracking and control, as well as full visibility of the airfreight supply chain.

The appointment of Poste Air Cargo as CEIV certified highlights the commitment and the efforts of the air freight operator to achieve the highest quality stadards and in offering the most reliable service to the freight forwarders and to the shippers that manage the healthcare and the biopharma logistics.

Poste Air Cargo is the Italian freighter operator, owned by Poste Italiane, flying a domestic overnight network for its main customer (Poste Italiane), connecting seven airports with the Hub of Brescia Montichiari; it is the one of the main Italian players on the cargo charter business and it is the only freighter operator connecting, twice a week, the main cargo airport in Italy (MXP) with Israel (TLV). Poste Air Cargo has recently added an additional destination to the international network, connecting Milan Malpensa with Alexandria (HBE).
