Podesta replaces Mueller as COO of Dachser

Edoardo Podesta has been named chief operations officer of Dachser Air & Sea Logistics, taking over from Jochen Mueller.

The 57-year-old Italian joined Dachser in 2003 as part of the Zurt Ambrosetti Far East joint venture after the Kempten-based company took full control.

He was appointed managing director of the Asia Pacific business unit in 2014, in recognition of his successful expansion of the air and sea business in the region.

Bernhard Simon, CEO of Dachser says: “Edoardo Podesta combines his success as an entrepreneur and strong leadership skills with his profound knowledge of the Asian and global air and sea freight markets. As COO Air & Sea Logistics, he will continue to expand our intercontinental network for air and sea freight and link it even more closely with our European overland transport network.”

Mueller has stopped working for Dachser with immediate effect after a mutual agreement not to extend his contract, which expired in 2020.
