Last weekend, Spanish freight forwarder Plaza Forwarding arranged two charter flights arrived from Shenzhen airport. Specially-adapted A340 passenger aircraft were used to
bring 40 tonnes of medical material to Madrid airport.
Chartering has been fully handled by Plaza Forwarding, in co-operation with Iberia, on an airport to airport basis. At the reception at Madrid airport, the cargo was immediately distributed to the final destination.
“We cannot relax, there’s still a huge lack of this vital aid material, and we must endure,” said Emilio Plaza, CEO of Plaza Forwarding.
Plaza Forwarding handles international transport and have had their own customs
representation since 1997. More than 50 professional staff work at facilities in Madrid Barcelona and Valencia.
