Panalpina downsizes executive board

The executive board of Panalpina is being downsized with a number of senior roles being eliminated.

The positions of chief commercial officer, chief legal officer, chief information officer, executive vice president airfreight and executive vice president ocean freight have gone.

CCO Karl Weyeneth, CLO and corporate secretary Christoph Hess, CIO Ralf Morawietz, EVP airfreight Lucas Kuehner and EVP ocean freight Peder Winther have given up their executive board roles.

Hess will continue in the group legal position in DSV Panalpina and has been nominated by the former board of directors to serve as an observer to the DSV Panalpina board of directors for up to 12 months.

Kuehner has been appointed EVP charter network and perishables at DSV Air & Sea, Weyeneth is expected to continue in a senior position, while Morawietz and Winther have left the company.
