Norwegian to connect Gatwick with Buenos Aires

Norwegian has announced its first South American route with flights to Buenos Aires from London starting on 14 February 2018.

The Boeing 787 Dreamliner flights will fly four times a week between London Gatwick Airport and Buenos Aires Ezeiza International Airport, leaving at 08.15h on Mondays and Fridays, and 21.30h on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Norwegian chief executive officer, Bjorn Kors says: “From Europe, the USA, Asia and now South America, our long-haul network is going global and the UK will continue to be at the heart of our ambitious plans for expansion.”

“We also see huge potential in the Argentinian market so this is not only a major milestone as our first South American route, it is also a first step towards ambitious plans for international and domestic growth in Argentina.”

UK transport minister, Lord Callanan says: “This will unlock new trade and tourism opportunities in UK and Argentina, which will boost our economies, provide more choice for consumers and open up new business links.”

“Britain is a global trading nation and this is an excellent example of government and industry working together to build and strengthen our connections with the world.”
