Menzies Aviation takes over ground handling services at Belgrade Airport

Belgrade Airport, powered by VINCI Airports, announces Menzies Aviation, a leading service partner to the world’s airports and airlines, has started providing complete ground handling services at Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport. From 5 March 2024, the aviation services provider will provide ramp handling, baggage, de-icing, and passenger services. It will also offer PRM services and air cargo services.

Menzies Aviation manages ramp handling, baggage, de-icing, passenger services, and PRM and air cargo services at Nikola Tesla Airport. Both companies remain committed to delivering high-quality ground handling and passenger services.

The contract will see Belgrade Airport transfer all ground handling service contracts to the company, subject to partner airlines’ consent.

All Belgrade Airport employees in ground handling activity are offered employment agreements with Menzies Aviation d.o.o. as their new employer.

In 2023, a leading service partner to the world’s airports and airlines announced it had signed an agreement with Air Serbia for passenger and ramp services beginning in February 2024. The agreement, the biggest deal in Eastern Europe to date, will see local teams manage more than 22,000 turns in the first year at Serbia’s most significant and busiest airport.

Belgrade Airport and Menzies Aviation remain committed to working closely with Air Serbia and other airlines to ensure the smooth delivery of high-quality ground handling and passenger services to their passengers.
