The air cargo industry needs mechanisms to make 100 per cent e-freight adoption a reality, delegates at the Kale Thought Leadership Summit for Air Cargo agreed.
At the CLEAR VIEW summit, which took place on 11 and 12 February at the Hotel Hyatt Regency in Dubai, delegates from companies including Celebi, Swissport, Vienna Airport, Lufthansa, The International Air Cargo Association (TIACA) and the International Air Transport Association agreed that a regulatory mandate was needed to implement 100 per cent e-freight adoption. Delegates discussed issues in four sessions, ‘Changing Business Environment – Need for Innovation’, ‘Statutory Compliances & Controls’, ‘Enabling e-Freight’ and ‘The New Horizon – A Modern Age GHA’.
TIACA chairman, Sanjiv Edward says: “It is always great to meet air cargo fraternity and the experience has really been more than what I had expected; challenges were deliberated and there were some excellent ideas that have come up.”
Kale Logistics chairman, Vipul Jain says: “The energy, enthusiasm and response we got from the industry leaders at the summit were truly overwhelming. CLEAR VIEW summit is a small attempt by us to enable innovation and transformation in this industry.”
