MASkargo fly Nuan Nuan the panda home to Chengdu

MASkargo has flown Nuan Nuan the panda back home to Chengdu from Kuala Lumpur on board an Airbus A330-200 Freighter.

Two year old Nuan Nuan is the offspring of FuWa and FengYi, who MASkargo transported to Kuala Lumpur three years ago, and Nuan Nuan flew on flight MH6476, leaving her parents to continue their 10 year stay in Malaysia.

The four hour 20 minute flight departed at 17.35h local time and landed at Shuanglin Airport in Chengdu at 21.55h, piloted by Captain Ismail Yaakub and co-pilot Shahreen Abu Hassan.

Dr Naim Zainuddin and Dr Jessie Ho of Zoo Negara were on board to ensure the well being of Nuan Nuan.

MAB Kargo chief executive officer, Ahmad Luqman Mohd Azmi says: ““In a relationship that augurs well for Malaysia, we are proud to be a part of such a significant event. It is an honour for MASkargo to transport one of the national treasures of the Republic of China to her homeland.”

He adds: ““The staff at Animal Hotel undergo regular trainings to keep themselves updated with the latest know-how on both safety and animal welfare pertaining to shipments of live animals by air.”

“In the past, we have transported exotic animals such as sea lions, tiger sharks, baby giraffes and rhinoceros to name a few. Our vast experience in pet and animal transportation has accorded MASkargo with a membership in the IATA Live Animal Board.”
