Marginal freight growth for Dubai International in November

Freight volumes registered a small year-on-year increase at Dubai International Airport rising 0.4 per cent compared to 2016.

The airport handled 235,651 tonnes of freight in November 2017 compared to 234,743 tonnes in November 2016.

On a year-to-date basis Dubai has handled 2,425,475 tonnes of freight, up 2.7 per cent on the 2,362,332 tonnes during the first 11 months of 2016.

The growth in November is the lowest registered in 2017, excluding February, which registered a year-on-year drop of 1.9 per cent to 192,704 tonnes, May, which was down 4.6 per cent to 215,668 tonnes, and October, when volumes fell 1.8 per cent to 231,805 tonnes.

So far in 2017, August has seen the strongest year-on-year growth with an increase of 10.1 per cent to 221,508 tonnes.
