Marcel de Nooijer appointed Air France KLM Cargo EVP

Marcel de Nooijer has been appointed Air France KLM Cargo executive vice president and will also join the airline’s executive committee.

The 48 year old joined KLM in 1995 and has worked in various positions across the group including general manager South East Asia & South West Pacific from 2000 to 2003, vice president EMEA KLM Cargo from 2003 and 2006, and vice president Europe Air France KLM Cargo from 2006 to 2009.

He was Air France KLM vice president commercial Europe & North Africa from 2009 to 2012 before being appointed Martinair Holland managing director and KLM member of executive committee in 2013, and has been KLM Cargo executive vice president since November 2013.

Commenting on his appointment, de Nooijer says: “Together with my colleagues in Paris and Amsterdam, I aim to improve the quality of our service, gain access to new cargo markets and proceed with the digitisation of key processes. During the coming weeks, we will seek ways to ensure that my existing duties at Martinair Holland and KLM Cargo are fulfilled.”

Air France KLM chairman and chief executive officer, Jean-Marc Janaillac says: “The experience and professionalism demonstrated by Marcel de Nooijer at KLM Cargo will from now on be used to benefit the entire Group.”
