Fraport Cargo Services (FCS) has appointed Hans-Georg Emmert as its new managing director (MD).
This moves comes after the completion of the planned strategic partnership between Fraport AG and Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) on 2 November 2, 2015.
The appointment became effective today (1 December).
FCS says this decision WFS emphasises its general policy to run all stations abroad by a local management who is familiar with practices and people of the country.
Since the establishment of FCS, Emmert has been head of sales and marketing. Before joining Fraport and FCS he gained experience by working for an airline in operations.
Emmert says: “I am more than honoured by this appointment, and I will do my utmost to push forward the development of the new company emerging from the strategic partnership of WFS and Fraport AG.
“We want our customers to benefit from our new situation within a global network, and we will continue with our high performance and service which also complies with the main targets of WFS.”
Andreas Helfer is the outgoing MD at FCS.
