MABkargo flies oil and gas equipment to Brunei

MABkargo has flown a large shipment of oil and gas equipment to Brunei using one of its Airbus A330-200Fs for the charter flight.

Flight number MH6052 flew the shipment from Kuala Lumpur to Bandar Seri Begawan, having been re-routed to accommodate the special request from the shipper, with the customised odd-sized shipment sitting on one crate being carefully placed for the flight.

MABkargo sales and marketing general manager, Amiroel Shazrie Yussof says: “The oil & gas industry’s charters have always been very challenging and more often than not present logistical intricacies.

“In this case, we have re-routed the scheduled flight planned for Kuala Lumpur–Labuan–Hanoi into BWN to meet a special request for immediate delivery. This proves our commitment and flexibility in fulfilling the demand for a special level of service beyond expectation.”

He also says charter flights are ideal for the oil and gas industry because they allow customers to work to their own schedule.

Yussof says: “Over the years, MABkargo has gained immense experience from coordinating and successfully delivering oil and gas equipment to a number of destinations worldwide. We have also handled many types of charters – oil & gas, Grand Prix, concert equipment and livestock movements being the major ones.

“Our experience in handling charters created a niche strength for us and has secured the trust of our customers. Today, charter flights are a key revenue generator for MABkargo.”
