Lufthansa Cargo’s J. Florian Pfaff moves to Asia

J. Florian Pfaff will take up a new role at Lufthansa Cargo, succeeding Frank Naeve as vice president Asia Pacific from 1 June.

A successor is being sought for the vice president Germany will be based in Singapore, while Naeve is moving to New York to taking over as Lufthansa Group vice president airline sales for The Americas.

Pfaff will continue to report directly to Dorothea von Boxberg, member of the executive board and chief commercial officer.

He graduated with a business management degree and began his career at Lufthansa Cargo in 1989, and after holding various marketing positions was appointed general manager sales and marketing Germany in 1994.

From 2000, Pfaff was responsible for various sales regions in the Americas from Los Angeles, before being recalled to Frankfurt in January 2005 where he was vice president global account management.

In May 2006, he assumed responsibility for sales and handling in more than 90 countries and 120 stations in Europe and Asia.

As vice president Germany since May 2011, Pfaff has headed Lufthansa Cargo’s entire sales and handling activities in Germany.
