Lufthansa Cargo to open Paderborn-Lippstadt station

Lufthansa Cargo will open a station at Paderborn-Lippstadt Airport on 15 June, which will truck goods to Frankfurt Airport under an LH flight number.

It will initially handle consignments of standard freight, express and hazardous materials, which will be handled, sealed and transported to Lufthansa Cargo’s Frankfurt hub. The Paderborn station will be open from Wednesday to Friday from 06.00h to 22.00h.

Lufthansa Cargo regional director of sales and freight handling, Ulla Kuntze says: “We are delighted to be drawing closer to the strong, medium-sized corporate structure of the region. Our new service in Paderborn contributes to the further acceleration of imports and exports at the business location of Eastern Westphalia.”

“The environment also benefits from the new freight handling options at Paderborn-Lippstadt Airport because bundled consignments can now be transported to our hub.”

Paderborn-Lippstadt chief executive officer, Dr Marc Cezanne says: “We see great development potential for air cargo at the airport. In Lufthansa Cargo, we have gained a first-class partner and are delighted to be part of the branch network of the world’s leading cargo airline.”
