Lufthansa Cargo has been appointed the premium partner of the German Equestrian Federation, the umbrella organisation of breeders, riders, drivers and vaulters in Germany.
The airline says it provides first-class service for the precious animal passengers with stables at Frankfurt Airport and special horseboxes and trained staff to give them the best possible attention at all times. Animals stay in the Frankfurt Animal Lounge, which compares to a first class lounge to animals.
Lufthansa Cargo board member product and sales, Dr Alexis von Hoensbroech says: “For us, the new partnership with the Equestrian Federation is also a way of honouring our many years of expertise in horse transportation. After all, the FN is the biggest equestrian sport association in the world.”
“We are pleased to be bringing our extensive experience to the cooperation project and also providing a first-class service.”
Fédération Équestre Nationale secretary general Soenke Lauterbach says: “Lufthansa has always been a top-class airline company which, whenever necessary, takes us safely and comfortably to anywhere imaginable in the world.”
“For top-class sport, Lufthansa has been an important partner for many years. We are all the more pleased that the German Equestrian Federation can now also benefit from an individual partnership with Lufthansa.”
