Frank Bauer, previously Chief Financial Officer and Chief Human Resources Officer, has now taken on the role of Chief Operating Officer. Bauer’s transition into this operational leadership role underscores Lufthansa Cargo’s commitment to innovation and operational excellence, backed by his deep understanding of the company’s financial and human resource strategies.
Joining the Executive Board for the first time is Gregor Schleussner, who steps into the dual role of Chief Financial Officer and Chief Human Resources Officer. Schleussner brings extensive experience from within the Lufthansa Group and is expected to contribute fresh insight and direction as Lufthansa Cargo continues its transformation journey.
Ashwin Bhat remains at the helm as Chief Executive Officer, continuing to lead the carrier with a clear goal: to re-establish Lufthansa Cargo as one of the world’s top three air cargo carriers. With the newly completed executive team, the company is positioning itself to tackle market challenges and seize new growth opportunities.
“These changes mark a significant milestone in our strategic evolution,” Lufthansa Cargo said in a statement. “We’re confident that this leadership team, working alongside our dedicated employees, will drive the company toward new heights.”
The carrier, which has made bold moves in fleet renewal, digitalisation, and sustainability in recent years, now looks ahead with a strengthened leadership framework in place.
