- TIACA transitions into a new chapter as Roos Bakker succeeds Steven Polmans, building on six years of transformation that expanded the association’s reach to over 500 global members and established it as a leading industry voice.
- The association continues to drive innovation, sustainability, and talent development through initiatives such as the BlueSky program, climate action investment platform, training resources, and the newly annual Air Cargo Forum and Executive Summit, with Warsaw hosting in May 2026.
- TIACA’s renewed objectives and awards — including the Hall of Fame, Inspirational Leader, Rising Star, and Sustainability awards — underscore its commitment to recognising excellence and advancing a collaborative, future-ready air cargo industry.
As TIACA’s Air Cargo Forum 2025 concludes, we reflect on recent achievements and look ahead to 2026.
TIACA welcomed a leadership change, with Steven Polmans handing over to Roos Bakker, effective immediately. Under Steven’s six-year tenure, TIACA transformed from a biennial event host to a global industry voice, now representing over 500 members across the supply chain.
TIACA’s portfolio supports stakeholders throughout their business journeys. This includes industry webinars, the BlueSky sustainability assessment program, sustainability surveys and reports, an online training library, and a climate action investment platform generating certified carbon offset credits.
The Air Cargo Forum is now annual, as is the TIACA Executive Summit, which in 2026 will take place in Warsaw, Poland, May 26–28, hosted by LOT Cargo. TIACA has also expanded outreach initiatives to attract, retain, and develop the next generation of industry leaders.
The Board and the broader membership have expressed their sincere appreciation for all that Steven has achieved. Roos takes the chair at a great time for the association, and she will lead it into this new era of annual ACFs.
The TIACA Board will establish a set of new objectives that will be designed to facilitate TIACA providing even great industry support.
With innovation, sustainability and people playing such a pivotal role for air cargo the TIACA awards fully support these objectives and are now officially launched and will be presented during the May 2026 executive summit.
To remind everyone, that’s the Hall of Fame award, the Inspirational leader award, the rising star award and the Sustainability awards. Please feel free to contact any of the TIACA staff to get more information.
In closing we thank everyone involved in putting the event together, the sponsors, the TIACA team, the speakers, the exhibitors, the delegates and look ahead to great events next year in Warsaw and Miami.
