Lee promoted to Raya Airways CEO

Raya Airways has promoted commercial director, Lee Shashitheren to the roles of executive director and chief executive officer, effective 1 May.

Lee is taking over from former managing director, Mohamed Najib Ishak, who resigned on 1 April. Lee started working in air cargo in 1995 at Singapore Airlines Cargo, and has also worked for the International Air Transport Association and Qatar Airways.

Raya Airways chairman, Dr Kamaruzaman Mohamath Shariff says: “The Board of Directors unanimously agreed and supported the appointment of Mr Lee due to his excellent track record and invaluable experience garnered in the industry, spanning over two decades, coupled with his strong networks in the industry, which makes him the most suitable and prominent candidate.”

“As the former Commercial Director, Mr Lee has the edge of knowledge, experience and expertise in the industry. Our clients, stakeholders and industry peers also supports this and that provides a smooth transition into his new post.”
