JYSK selects RELEX Solutions to support ambitious global growth plans with AI-powered demand forecasting

JYSK, a global home furnishing retailer, established in Denmark and the third-largest retailer in Europe will collaborate with RELEX Solutions, provider of unified supply chain and retail planning solutions, to strengthen demand forecasting for their global distribution centers. JYSK operates more than 3,200 stores in 48 countries and supplies goods from 10 distribution centers across Europe. The ambition for JYSK is to grow to at least 5,000 stores.
Demand forecasting is critical in the global home furnishings retail industry. To keep up with rapid changes in trends and seasonality, accurate and automated demand forecasting is critical to the overall goals of improving efficiency and sustainability and reducing energy use and waste, while helping to improve customer experience.
RELEX’s solution is powered by AI and machine learning and will provide accurate demand forecasts for distribution centers servicing store locations, online sales, and B2B.
JYSK sources goods from a widespread network of suppliers, each of which operates with a great deal of variation in lead times. As an added challenge, most of JYSK’s sales are campaign driven and seasonal. The RELEX solution will support JYSK in managing and improving the outcomes of their increasingly complex short- and long-term demand forecasts.
“After a diligent selection process, RELEX was chosen because of the solution’s flexibility, which enables JYSK to be in full control of the process while benefiting from forecast improvements using state-of-the-art AI and machine learning,” Heine Sort, Flow of Goods Director at JYSK, said. “RELEX is the optimal partner to further improve our forecasting accuracy and demand planning process. This is necessary to support our future growth ambitions and facilitate our primary goal of providing a seamless experience for our customers.”
“Our partnership with RELEX is a great testament to JYSK’s will to innovate their IT landscape with best-of-breed solutions where modern UI, advanced forecasting, and adaptability is at the forefront. We have been very impressed by their customer focus. RELEX is quite understanding of our business needs and requirements, and we look forward to leveraging RELEX’s comprehensive experience in the market,” Keld Marott, CIO at JYSK, said.
“We are thrilled to welcome JYSK as a partner to our growing global community of home goods and home improvement customers. We’re honored by the trust JYSK has placed in us and are excited for them to benefit from the measurable value and support we provide as they continue along their ambitious growth journey,” Stefano Scandelli, Senior VP Sales EMEA at RELEX Solutions, said.
