July dip of 1.2% at Dubai International Airport

Freight volumes into Dubai International Airport fell year-on-year (YOY) by 1.2 per cent in July reaching 203,153 tonnes, the hub’s operator Dubai Airport has reported.

This figure was down on the 205,526 tonnes recorded during the corresponding month last year.

During the first seven months of 2016, Dubai handled 1,485,177 tonnes of cargo, up 3.2 per cent compared to the 1,438,904 tonnes recorded during the same period in 2015.

All freighters now fly into Dubai World Central so Dubai International Airport’s cargo traffic is made up of entirely bellyhold cargo.
