Jet Airways has added a third daily connection between Heathrow Airport and Mumbai, starting on 29 October.
The airline is the first Indian carrier to operate three daily flights between London and Mumbai – India’s economic and financial capital, and the new service complements Jet’s daily operations to Mumbai and Delhi, boosting its capacity by nearly a third.
Flight 9W 115 will depart from Heathrow at 15.55h and arrive in Mumbai at 06.20h.
Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan says: “I am delighted that Jet Airways has launched another daily service from London to Mumbai. This is evidence of the growing economic, cultural and social links between these two great cities and of the opportunities to develop these ties over the coming years.”
The service will use a Boeing 777-300ER and will increase cargo capacity both for the UK and Indian markets.
Commodities such as perishables, pharmaceuticals, engineering goods, garments & fabrics, foodstuffs, medical equipment and other items will benefit from the increased frequencies, and will promote greater access for cargo from London to India and the SAARC and ASEAN regions.
