Jan de Rijk opens new Heathrow office

Jan de Rijk Logistics has opened a new office at Heathrow Airport with 586 square metres of warehouse and office space as well as 40 parking places for trucks.

The company says the reason for the move was because of increases in truck movements. It says it provides about 20,000 movements for airline, perishable, high tech, healthcare and automotive customers.

Jan de Rijk says: “The company is confident that with this new solid base at London Heathrow it will grow even more in the future.”

So far in 2015, Jan de Rijk has been awarded three contracts for airline road feeder services. In January it was appointed by IAG Cargo’s Iberia for services in the Iberian Peninsula.

In April it signed a three year contract with Virgin Atlantic Cargo for road feeder services across 50 European airports. In July Jan de Rijk signed a contract with Xiamen Airlines for its three times a week service between Xiamen (China) and Amsterdam.
