IAG Cargo launches Paris Orly – Newark services

IAG Cargo has launched direct cargo flights between France and the US with Boeing 767-200 services between Paris and New Jersey.

The route will use an OpenSkies 767-200 four times a week between Paris Orly Airport and Newark Liberty International Airport.

It is expected to carry cargo including fashion and textiles, perishables and spare machinery parts, with express products shipped under IAG Cargo’s Prioritise product while emergency shipments will travel under the new Critical service.

IAG Cargo commercial director, David Shepherd says: “Our new route opens direct access from mainland Europe to the North-East of the USA maximising efficiencies and minimising security and handling costs for European forwarders.”

“This launch demonstrates our commitment to investing in and delivering against market demand to meet the needs of global businesses, while our network and product portfolio is ideally suited to help support to the key commodity flows we expect on this route.”
