Hybrid Air Freighters to buy 12 Lockheed Martin Hybrid Airships

Hybrid Air Freighters (HAF) has signed a letter of intent to purchase 12 Lockheed Martin Hybrid Airships valued at approximately $500 million.

The Hybrid Airship is designed to transport heavy lift cargo to remote operating sites around the world, to locations that may have little or no infrastructure, and have the ability to take off and land almost anywhere.

Paris based Hybrid Air Freighters says it is dedicated to implementing high-performance logistics and transport solutions developed with the LMH-1, and will work with small and medium sized companies, as well as local authorities and non-government organisations to solve remote logistics problems with affordable and sustainable transport solutions.

HAF chief executive officer (CEO), Hubert de Contenson says: “We are keen to implement such an impressive innovation in the logistics market. The LMH-1 will open a new era for remote cargo delivery that is free from costly ground infrastructure and will provide a sustainable and affordable solution to remote cargo operations around the globe.”

Hybrid Enterprises CEO, Rob Binns says: “With a 21-ton cargo payload and the ability to land on any surface, the LMH-1 Hybrid Airship is designed to revolutionise remote cargo delivery. We are honoured to have HAF as the latest customer of our game-changing aircraft.”
