Harald Gloy to join Lufthansa Cargo board

Harald Gloy will join Lufthansa Cargo’s executive board with responsibility for operations, taking over from Soeren Stark on 1 January 2019.

Gloy is responsible for global component services at Lufthansa Technik and is also the spokesperson for the division board.

Stark, who has led operations since April 2016 and will take over as chief operating officer of Lufthansa Technik on 1 January 2019.

Lufthansa Cargo chairman of the supervisory board, Harry Hohmeister says: “Thanks to his comprehensive experience in logistics and in managing large operational areas, he will continue to further guide Operations into the future and strengthen the role of Lufthansa Cargo in the face of strong competition.”

In his new role, Gloy will be responsible for handling in Frankfurt, Munich and the Lufthansa Cargo Service Centre, as well as the areas of Global Handling Management, Flight Operations and Transport Management, and Security.

Gloy studied international engineering at the TU Berlin and Arizona State University, and has held various roles at Lufthansa Technik since 2003.

He is a member of the board of Hamburg Aviation and a member of the supervisory board of the Centre of Applied Aeronautical Research in Hamburg.
