Hainan Airlines has started twice-weekly Boeing 787 services from Changsha (China) to Los Angeles (US).
The service started on 21 January and operates on Mondays and Thursdays. The flights will take about 13.5 hours, leaving Changsha at 13.00h and arriving in Los Angeles at 10.35h. The return flight will leave Los Angeles at 12.35h and arrive back in Changsha at 19.20h the next day.
Hainan Airlines deputy chairman, Mu Weigang says: “Hainan Airlines has been expanding actively in international markets by progressively adding flights connecting Beijing with Seattle, Chicago, Boston and San Jose as well as routes from Shanghai to Seattle and Boston.”
“With the new Changsha – Los Angeles route, Hainan Airlines has become one of the major airlines providing services between China and the US. We believe that the new route will further enhance economic, cultural and technological exchanges between the two countries.”
